One Response to trailerclash 28: Dr. $euss

  1. Glad to hear that Barb is feeling better.
I completely agree about Brave. I was really interested after seeing the teaser, but the full trailer looks way too much like How to Train Your Dragon … which I liked, but I really don’t need to see a slight variation on it.
With the exception of the classic Grinch (the one with Boris Karloff) and Green Eggs and Ham, has there ever been a good movie adaptation of a Dr. Suess book?
All 5 seasons of 21 Jump Street are available on Hulu, but from personal experience I would caution against revisiting a show that you loved as a kid. I was a big fan of Manimal back in the day and revisited it in recent years … wow, was it bad.
Also, if you have an Amazon Prime membership, you can get the Kindle version of the first two Hunger Games books fro free. I picked up that version of the first one a few months ago to see what all the fuss was about, but never got around to reading it, but I think the trailer will finally get me to start.
Incidentally, I also completely agree about Winter’s Bone. It was a challenge to get through it, but IMO it was definitely the best of last years Best Picture nominees.
    Great show as always.
